BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is designed to provide students the necessary skills needed by the ICT industry. In line E.O. 358, the ladderized curriculum of BSCS is competency-based, hence a student enrolls in this course can have four certificates before getting his/her diploma. This greatly increases the marketability of the students in the job market.

 
 

After 1 year completion of academic subjects

Specifically the students can apply their skills on the following areas.


PROGRAMMING

The course aims to provide the students adequate logic formulation skills in order for them to solve programming problems regardless of the computer language. They will also learn the current programming languages being used by the ICT industry.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

An ICT graduate is expected to develop softwares; hence he/she is rightfully called a software engineer.Subjects such as system analysis and design and software engineering will taught to students in the context of the current ICT industry standards.

HARDWARE SERVICING

In order to make them well-rounded ICT professional, students will be provided necessary troubleshooting and software implementation skills making them more competitive and relevant in the ICT industry.

GRAPHICS AND MULTIMEDIA

The world of art and entertainment was never the same in the advent of computers. Graphic software and digital animation is fast becoming a lucrative industry. The course provides the student not only a peek to this world but a hands-on approach of animation and graphics software.

WEB DESIGN AND PROGRAMMING

The course provides the student necessary web programming and designing skills enabling them to become not only users of the internet but webmasters as well.

ICT SUPPORT

Along side of the major areas of ICT, other opportunities will also be available to graduates of this course. Graduates can be data encoders, database administrators, network administrator, network specialist.

 
 

AIMS as JEDI Member

Java Educational Development Initiative is a collaborative project by SUN Micro Systems with the different educational institute in the Philippines. As JEDI member it aims to access to suite the resources in enhancing the teaching and learning experiences.






AIMS as Microsoft Partner

Last August 4, 2007, AIMS signed a partnership agreement with microsoft to participate in its HEdStart Lite, a program that will enable the implementation of microsoft's HEdStart curriculum in TESDA institutions nationwide. The integration of the HEdStart Lite program in ICT curriculum of AIMS will enhance the skills of students particularly on required ICT skills.





AIMS as CISCO Local Academy

As CISCO Local Academy, AIMS is certified to offer CISCO courses. It has accessed to the same hight-quality e-learning curricula, hands-on laboratory and online assessment provided by CISCO hence the education that will be received by the students is at part to world standards. AIMS uses the following curriculums:

  • CCNA Discovery
  • CCNA Explorations

Each curriculum is divided into four modules. The curriculum is divided into four modules. The curriculum leads to CCNA certification that will certify students as network technicians and specialist.
